Spicer: Anyone asking for Sessions to recuse himself from Russia case should be "ashamed"

Spicer: Anyone asking for Sessions to recuse himself from Russia case should be ‘ashamed’

http://www.rawstory.com/2017/03/sean-spicer-anyone-asking-for-sessions-to-recuse-himself-from-russia-case-should-be-ashamed/

In an excerpt released from a Fox News interview that will be aired in full on Friday, Spicer lashed out at people who are calling for Sessions to either resign or recuse himself.

“There’s nothing to recuse himself [from],” said Spicer. “He was 100% straight with the committee, and I think people who are choosing to play partisan politics with this should be ashamed of themselves.”

Sessions has come under fire for not disclosing at his Senate confirmation hearing that he twice met with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak over the course of the 2016 presidential campaign.

Several Democrats — including Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) — have called on Sessions to resign. In addition, several Republicans — including Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) and Raul Labrador (R-ID) — said Sessions should recuse himself from any investigations into ties between Russian officials and the Trump campaign.

2. In Trumpland, "play partisan politics" translates to "choose country over party"

So in that case what Sphincter is really saying is "...people who choose country over arty should be ashamed of themselves.".

They are such asshats.

I know it is a screenshot and they can make anyone look bad, but Spicer, Conway, and others just look like they aren't sleeping or are on meth or something. I guess selling your soul takes a toll on your body.

No, I am outraged!

Anyone not outraged and calling for Session's head (figuratively, should be ashamed.

10. You should resign, Spicer. It will save your sorry ass.

I suggest today as a good time to do that. With Trump out of town, you'll have time to make yourself scarce before he returns. Of course, that's assuming he does return. We think he should resign as well.

It's all coming down around, you Sean. Get out while you can. Sauve qui peut!

Absolutely none of this shit is even slightly acceptable. Republicans are all crooks and traitors...everyone in this mis-administration is just horrible; I hate them for what they've done to this country.

and I'm not asking for prosecution. I'm freaking DEMANDING prosecution. Perjury is perjury, eh Jeffy? You all went crazy on Big Dog over oral sex that had nothing to do with the country. Colluding with Russians and then lying about it during your confirmation hearing is about as direct a shot at our country as it gets.

Prosecute him.

Too bad it'll most likely never happen.

If you consistently tell the truth about small things that can easily be checked, you develop a reputation as an honest person. When you make an error, people will give you the benefit of the doubt. If people believe you are honest, you have a reserve as it were, when real problems come along.

If Fox airs this interview tomorrow, events will have so outpaced Spicer's bluster that he'll just look like a fool. I predict Fox will find something - anything - else to air tomorrow in place of the full interview.
