One paragraph from the NYT article earlier this week stood out to me...

From the article this week that describe how the Obama administration scrambled to protect intelligence regarding Russian interference from the incoming Trump administration.

Obama Administration Rushed to Preserve Intelligence of Russian Election Hacking
https://www.nytimes.com/2017/03/01/us/politics/obama-trump-russia-election-hacking.html

...The opposite happened with the most sensitive intelligence, including the names of sources and the identities of foreigners who were regularly monitored. Officials tightened the already small number of people who could access that information. They knew the information could not be kept from the new president or his top advisers, but wanted to narrow the number of people who might see the information, officials said....

I can't help but wonder if we're seeing the fallout from this event that the Obama admin anticipated (and that the NYT article may have tipped Trump off about).

He is clearly very concerned who he may have been caught speaking to.

I'm still a bit confused about the tighter control of this...unless it was to allow it to go off with little warning...like a bomb.

Well, BOOM!, I guess.
