Spicer was asked, TWICE, if Trump still had "confidence" in Comey (Chris Matthews just said it's clear that Spicer and others won't directly lie for Trump but they will give evasive answers like "the president has access to lots of information" . Spicer gave bizarre, squirrelly non-answers. No doubt Trump is salivating over the idea that he could fire Comey if Comey won't act as a Trump puppet (a Trumpet!). Talk about Nixon -- but this is sooooooo much worse.
And of course the republicans are falling in line, trying to argue that there is "no evidence" to support the Russian collusion/hacking issue OR the ridiculous wiretapping claims (which is clearly an attempt to undermine the Russia investigation). Bannon no doubt dreamed this up, and of course he gives zero shits about ripping our institutions apart. And the republicans are so obsessed with ramming through their tax cuts for the rich and devastating healthcare, etc.
Trump is doing a very good job of throwing the country into absolute chaos. He doesn't give a shit. North Korea is testing missiles, and the Russians continue to humiliate the country with this insanity. But Trump is tearing the country apart. So much for all of the serious issues that Trump promised to take care of on "day one." Instead he is ripping apart the country in a wild effort to boost his own ego (and imho serve Lord Putin). This is some scary shit.

(21,754 posts)It is so typical Trump. Just like when he said to Hillary, "no puppet. You're the puppet".
I can't stand this ignorant traitor.

(5,611 posts)knows what Breitbart is publishing. I think he is trying to spin the damaging Russia story, and this is one way of spinning it -- throwing the apple of discord.
