So, from what I have heard today,

they want to drop the personal mandate, but there will be a penalty for not having continuous coverage. In other words, they will force everyone into the open insurance market and impose a penalty if you don't have insurance. Interesting.

and the freedom to pay more when coverage is needed.

As opposed to single payer, which frees one from worrying about paying for healthcare.

Then re-upping just before the coverage ran out (12months) w/o penalty.

Not that it matters a whole lot; this bill is going nowhere. But they can't call the 30% higher premium a penalty, because that will set off their inattentive followers who are programmed to go nuts for certain words.

Hold pols accountable in town halls and the media. Talk to those we know. Support ads to educate. Get the DNC to put up ads. Heard that the AÄRP is going against it. Need other advocacy groups to do the same.

Now these suckers want the States to be the Insurance Companies be their collection agencies. There will be millions who will not be able to afford this garbage. And most Seniors will be back to the Cat food Diner. Just ran some numbers for My Spouse and I,with the proposed Mediacare Tax and so called Vouchers, the proposed Premium increases would cost us several Thousand a year. So much for the Rainy Day Savings. Then top it off with the elimination of most Tax Deductions. Get ready for some serious Bankruptcies.
