(13,608 posts)We didn't know how good our candidate was without that did we? Not everything is in the platform. If her speeches made her look good to them, and should have to me, I should know what she said to them shouldn't I?

(16,117 posts)25+ years of PR concentrating on making people distrust and dislike her.
That vast right wing conspiracy? It was real and it worked.
It has nothing to do with who she is, nothing to do with what she's done, but everything to do with people's perception of her.
That perception has been carefully managed by those who saw something in her that was frightening to them.
A lot of people do not even recall a time when Clinton was not under investigation for something...she never actually did anything to warrant any of it, but it exists and created a narrative. People who are not politically aware (and many who are) hear the constant background noise of it and it sinks in, it creates the idea, way at the back of their minds that she's untrustworthy.
Again, not her fault, but it was a concentrated effort and it worked.

For those who worried that insufficient liberal support for Hillary Clinton would wind up electing Donald Trump, you were right.
According to a tweet from Cook Political Reports Dave Wasserman on Thursday, the margin of difference separating the president-elect from his Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton in the three Blue Wall states Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan was less than the total number of votes received by Green Party nominee Jill Stein in each of those states:
