(16,869 posts)We should pressure those same priests and bishops to refuse communion for those politicians who are outright defying the teachings of Christ in regards to the poor and the least amongst us.

But still sticks to medieval church practices. A key example is contraception. On of the only places in the world where the church is growing is Africa.
Endorsing condoms in places that are suffering though an HIV/ADIS epidemic would save a lot of lives. But that won't happen.

(5,191 posts)You can't adore Ayn Ryan's contempt for the poor and still profess to being a true Christian. Helping the poor is the most basic tenant of Christianity.
Didn't Pro Life Catholics say church members who are Pro Choice should be denied communion?
