Settlement talks set to begin March 31 in Guam Superintendent's $7M suit

U.S. District Court Senior Judge Alex R. Munson on Thursday set a March 31 settlement conference, starting at 3:30 p.m., for Superintendent Jon Fernandez's $7 million lawsuit against the education board and six of its current and former members.

“All parties to the litigation or the party’s representative with unrestricted settlement authority must attend the settlement conference,” Munson said in his March 16, order.

Munson said the parties are invited, but not required, to submit a confidential settlement conference statement, no more than 10 pages in length, typewritten and double-spaced, inclusive of any attached exhibits.

The judge said the statement shall be submitted under seal with the court no later than 3 p.m., March 27.
