Roger Stone surfaces

Chris Hayes retweeted that Stone will be on CBS This Morning.

Also Stone talked to the NYT. Link: https://mobile.nytimes.com/2017/03/21/us/roger-stone-donald-trump-russia.html?_r=0&referer=https://www.google.com/

Stone's on the FBI's radar in the Trump-Russia investigation. Given Comey's testimony that Russia used 3rd party cut-outs and Stone's interaction with guccifer2.0 and Assange, figure the FBI is about ready to start putting the squeeze on ol' Roger.

IIRC, Rudy G's bragging about how Trump brought him in "to help make the muslim ban work with the courts" is being used, in part, by the courts as a statement of intent by judges willing to examine the context of both Muslim Ban 1.0 and 2.0.

Flynn's interview with Michael Isakof at the Republican National Convention where he said he never took any money from Russia is also showing up as part of the questions.

Nothing said in these interviews is under oath but it seems like the perfect environment for a potential target and/or witness to inadvertently drop a nugget that turns into a line of investigation that turns into questions under oath that turn into a shit sandwich for the target.

Unfortunately, I've had the opportunity to be on the receiving end of more than a few depositions. Best advice I ever got - never (that's NEVER) try to convince the inquisitor who smart you are. Friend or foe, when you try to impress someone, you ALWAYS end up saying something that'll come back to bite you. Answer the question asked. Try to use yes/no. Make sure you're answering an actual question vs. defending some kind of attack.

In a media interview, all that goes out the window.

So my vote, given that this guy is circling the drain, give him the airtime to weave the rope he'll hang with.

IMHO.

Stone is all about denial right now. I doubt he knows what the investigators have/don't have on him. He can only hurt himself by going on the air and talking.
