The best-case scenario of the Trump/Russia investigation.

Why the lies? Why the secrecy?

Those questions are at the forefront of any investigation.

But, is it possible that prior to the election, Donald Trump was involved with several secretive business deals around the world? That no one really expected him to win the election?

However, when he won the election, his business deals were still on the burner. He was still negotiating in several different countries to get his Trump towers and hotels built? He was a wheeler-dealer.

He had deals in play with China. He had deals in play with Russia, especially with the opening of the huge oil fields in the North Sea and in Siberia. He knew all the players, including Putin and several Russian oligarchs. He had business deals in Asia and the Middle East.

The Presidency was a stumbling block to working with all the business contacts he had made in the last several years, especially with the political decisions against Russia. His business was dependent on Russian money and loans from a bank associated with Russian money laundering.

So, his priorities were not with the American people - they were with his continuing business deals that were still in process as he entered the White House. He had contacts that were working with Russian businessmen. Carter Page was negotiating with the Russians at the behest of Donald Trump and getting a share of the huge oil deal for the Trump organization. Donald Jr was his liaison to finalizing all the deals for his father. Paul Manafort was a shady character with political experience that had been working for the Russians in the Ukraine. Roger Stone was an old friend that had contacts with many shady characters, including some in Russian intelligence operations. Even Ivanka was used as a contact with Putin's girlfriend to further the ambitions of her father, the President of the United States?

Why the secrecy? Because he did not want the people or the press to know that he was still trying to finalize some of his grandest deals with the Russians. He stood to gain a great deal of wealth from the Russians. He had no choice, if he wanted to keep his business going, but to keep it secret. So, he lied.

And he required everyone that worked for him to lie about any Russian connections. If they met with any Russian officials, they should do it in secret. Just as Jeff Sessions lied about his meetings with the Russian ambassador.

Because he refused to be transparent with his tax returns and his business deals, people became more and more suspicious about his plans and just who was he working for? Just as in his business dealings, he lied about everything if it promoted his own interest. It began to look like a great conspiracy. He became less and less credible.

So, the best-case scenario was one of happenstance. He just happened to become President as his best business deals were coming to fruition and his best deals were with Russia and Putin's government.

But, he appears to have stepped into a trap of his own setting. Behind every great fortune, like Mr Trump's, is a great crime. Is that about to be exposed?

Optimum outcome- a smoking gun is found.

Acceptable outcome- the investigation goes on forever and casts a cloud over the Trump administration

Worst outcome- Trump and his fellow gang members are quickly exonerated.

He seldom mentions the names of his closest friends or his best business contacts. It is a part of his modus operandi.

been weeded out of the administration seems rather probable that there is a cover up ongoing. Everyone involved is now not involved in the administration. Really?

That the evidence is absolutely clear to everyone that Trump worked with Russia to undermine US Democracy. So when he's removed from office the whole country accepts it and we can learn and grow together again.
