1. However Trump exits the White House it will be ugly.

Just about every option you can imagine will be extralegal -- including him serving out his whole term. You can stop hoping for a "the system worked" outcome.

My money is on the military placing him under house arrest and compelling him to sit still while the 25th Amendment is invoked. Yeah, that's basically a coup, but you really think he'd play nice and be harmless while impeachment proceedings dragged on for months?

3. I think that might happen if he has a total meltdown on camera, and his toadies refuse to intervene.

Otherwise I think removal will drag out. However, being under investigation by the FBI and congressional committees will, hopefully, render him completely toothless, regarding legislation he wants to cram through.

4. Isolating him in the White House and letting him rot there is another option.

He'd have to be disconnected from the levers of power. Another flavor of coup, I'd say.

He is, after all, a US citizen, and without a court order, or arrest, cannot be restrained or confined.

2. Trump is an expensive luxury to ordinary Americans who want to believe in him.

To Congressional GOP, he is the key to their dreams of austerity. Until he is no longer useful to them or he gets too bored with hanging around the White House four days a week, he's going to stay right where he is.

8. I agree, but the question still remains about how to convict him of treason.

Not saying it won't happen, just that I can't see how right now.

9. Subpoena him first.

"Executive privilege" will be the reply but will it apply? Once the scandal is revealed by whoever sings first, the new John Dean, we'll see a repeat of Nixon, Trump resigns and pence pardons him. They will abuse their power to shore up their Fund-$$-amentalist Party.

But, remember, we have had FBI surveillance in place since July. The second FISA warrant was likely just a means of getting a far more difficult to challenge warrant, and the first one still prevails too. So, who knows what all we have in evidence already, but i'm sure it is enough to put a large cast of characters away. What they are likely trying to do right now to convict the Swiftboat Admiral, the person who directed fixing the election.

Think of the degree to which the Trump Dossier was confirmed by Comey. It is all over except the beheading.
