No offense to Ms Klobuchar. I think she's a rising star too.

However, you don't have to be a whip smart rising star in Congress to expose the intellectual vacancy of that position.

The intellectual flaw of simplest extraction is that to be an originalist, one must read other writings of the framers to deduce the intent despite the fact that they wrote other wording into the Consitution. And how do they do that? By reading the minds of people dead for 200 years.

That's a pretty major flaw.

You don't interpret by interpreting what they were thinking by things they wrote down somewhere other than the document that is to be left without interpretation. Originalism is just plain stupid.
