I know there has been a lot talk about people wishing the country knew about the investigation into republican45 before Election Day but I tend to disagree given how events played out and Clinton being "investigated" by congress.
Once they started down that trail regarding Clinton to then come out with something about republican45 would have been met with everything from suspicion to complete condemnation and it could have dramatically impacted the integrity of an investigation into actual criminal actions as opposed to the bullshit witch hunt against Clinton.
Plus, to be honest, the impact to republicans from this will be dramatic and far reaching. Far more impactful than if it had come to light before the election.
By revealing the investigation on republican45 before Election Day, it may have got Clinton elected but it would have done little to no damage to the Republican Party.
Republican45 getting elected has caused a lot of republicans to hitch their wagons to him and if republican45 and other senior administration officials get impeached and/or arrested, that will do long term, "death kneel" level damage to the Party brand and its most controversial and troubling party members will left out in the cold, likely forever, because of it.

(8,699 posts)But we are a nation of laws and rules and lawyers.
Most, if not all, of the controversial actions coming out of Congress and republican45 will be buried in lawsuits.
As was painfully obvious during PBO's administration, government does not move as fast as it should or would like to, it is no different for them.
Plus there has been extra attention on them and every move is being discussed and reviewed.
While, if it went on for the full four years I would agree but I am operating under the "glass half full" analogy and I think we can hamstring the hell out of them for the two years it may take to get impeachments and to get to midterm elections.
