I'm sure she will get to what I want to know about (NUNES, DRUMPF, whatever) toute suite
it's frustrating at times.

(28,858 posts)It's a little like reading a Dicken's novel. Interesting, masterful even.... But come on already.

(3,363 posts)The Alumina stuff was about another Russian Oligarch, the one who paid Manafort $10 million a year to help push Putin interests in the US.

(70,762 posts)1) She doesn't "bore" me.
2) I don't have a short attention span. (I twiddle my thumbs till she gets to the point.)
3) As I said above, it's not her "making us think" I'm asking her for, it's "fast forward information."

(86,843 posts)I remind myself when I get annoyed at the set up... not everybody knows all this stuff and she takes the time to illustrate why the information she's about to give us matters. I am willing to be refreshed while others may be able to "get it" only with this type of intro. She's thorough and does her homework.

(86,843 posts)she's very intelligent and I think she has compassion for those who don't get things as quickly or as deeply as she does, therefore she's gracious to explain why something is important enough for her to tell us about it. It's what I was attracted to when I first saw her show in the laundr-o-mat.
I wasn't too thrilled with her headline during the campaign season but I think she did it mostly out of self preservation. At least she's trying to help us see what's destroying the world.
