He is reporting "This week House Intelligence Committee chair Devin Nunes got his hands on some kind of classified intelligence through unofficial channels, and it spooked him to the point that he broke every protocol and may have broken his career in the process. Nunes insists someone on the Donald Trump transition team was legally picked up on a wiretap that was targeted at someone else. And it appears the person incidentally surveilled was Vice President Mike Pence"
I don't know how to repost the entire article. Pence was talking with Manafort.

(195 posts)Hmm...If Pence is also complicit, then this whole house of cards may very well fall down. We need a full, independent investigation NOW to know who knew what and when regarding Russian influence. I feel like our reps are starting to get some swagger and fight, but it's still going to be up to the average person to get up off our asses and fight this evil. We can't wait for others to do it. We need to be doing more massive protests ASAP with signs that say TRAITORS and maybe a massive art project that involved Putin pulling a Trump puppet strings. I dunno...getting riled up, confused, and hopeless at the same time.

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/donald-trump-offered-chris-christie-vice-president-role-before-mike-pence/
Donald Trump offered New Jersey Governor Chris Christie the job of vice president, sources confirm to CBS News. Days before the Republican National Convention, however, Trump reneged on the deal after others in his inner circle convinced him otherwise.
First reported by the New York Post, an indecisive Trump had initially decided on Christie after the New Jersey governor made his final case to Trump on July 12.
Christie, the first former presidential candidate to get behind Trump after a poor showing in the New Hampshire primary, had assumed a high profile role on the campaign prior to the Convention reaching out to donors and potential high profile supporters.
Paul Manafort, Trumps campaign manager at the time, allegedly had another idea in mind.
Manafort had arranged for Trump to meet with his first choice for the job on July 13: Indiana Governor Mike Pence. Afterwards, the plans was for Trump and Pence to then fly back to New York together and a formal announcement would be made, a campaign source said of Manaforts thinking.
What if the Manafort tap exposed Pence?
I thought they were keeping Pence away because trump was toxic, but what if it were the other way around?
Wasn't it Manafort who faked plane problems so trump wouldn't pick Christie...and Pence instead?

(58,724 posts)Articles on Palmer Report and Daily News Bin contain deliberately misleading headlines. Those headlines and the claims made in the articles tend not to be supported by the sources cited in the article. So, they are opinion pieces, not news articles. This would be fine if they were clearly labeled as editorial content, but they arent."
