In separate interviews, the governors of Florida and Louisiana said they would defy this weeks Supreme Court decision upholding the Affordable Care Act.
Were not going to implement Obamacare in Florida, Florida Governor Rick Scott said Friday, according to The Tampa Bay Times. Were not going to expand Medicaid because were going to do the right thing. Were not going to do the exchange.
One day earlier, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal called the new health care plan, which requires states to set up a health insurance exchange plan by January 2014, a blow to our freedoms, as reported by ABC News.

Why not just let them secede (again) and be done with it. Louisiana can become a swampy haven for RW douchebags. Apoligies to all DUers in Louisiana and Florida, but something,s gotta give here. I'm getting really, really tired of these idiots ruining the country.

They want to be "independent" let them be truly independent. No more highway improvements, no more military spending, no more medicare, social security limited to current retirees.
I'll take that deal any day. Good riddance to perpetual parasites. The states where Democrats are in the majority have been subsidizing these losers for a century or more. If the US were the EU they'd be Greece.
Call their bluff. Give them what what they want.

As for the exchanges: who cares. If Florida or Louisiana doesn't comply, the law says the federal government steps in and sets up the exchanges for the citizens of those states.
As for the Medicaid expansion: The feds are going to pay 100% of the costs for the first years and 90% thereafter. These governors are not going to pass up that money.
This is election-year red meat.

This is written into the law, and the Court did not quibble with it.
