could it be? today seems - so far - like a Hope day - first day since election evening

that it seems "nearly normal" (as if anything in trumpistan can be normal - then again, what is normal??) - woke up to scan the news, no new trumpian disaster, nothing to make my blood boil along with the water for our coffee.

The nice big WHACK that was applied to the deplorables with regard to their DOA "health" proposal seems to be just what the doctor ordered.

Oh, I know - it is early yet, and there is plenty of time for silliness.

Yet still - good morning, DU - hope you are all well and enjoying the nice dose of Hope with your breakfast! We can do this...bit by bit, whack them down. Next course - a side (or main course) of the Russia stiff, perhaps??

I'm not sure if it's because I've just been eating and sleeping a little better the past few days or because I finally have a sense that we will come out of this vindicated in the end. After all of their gloating, it's great to see the Republicans not having a very good time and getting several doses of their own medicine.

The biggest test to our Democracy (since the Civil War, at least) is yet to come, unfortunately. Whether the Republican Party has the stones to remove Trump from office - if not, then we might be effed.

had a big effect. This makes me hopeful, and next month I can vote for Jon Ossoff.

Another sign I'm feeling mildly optimistic is, it might FINALLY be getting warm enough to move my greenhouse out to the enclosed porch so I'm going to start my tomato and pepper seedlings, today.

That means no legislation gets passed and they stop attacking us for a while. Couldn't happen to a finer bunch of assholes.
