This will be the basis for articles of impeachment against Donald John tRump, soon to be the former pResiDunce of the United States. It will also figure in the criminal racketeering trial of numerous of his aides and associates.

Sen. McConnell, since tRump is now in the last year of his pResiduncy, we should NOT consider his nomination of Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court, correct? We should wait until the American people have a voice in who will make that nomination.

It's inherently stupid to keep things to 140 characters and then put down anything of substance that is easy to read. Long tweet chains are just an absolutely cluster in terms of their format.

Not knocking the content (although Abramson has been known to be a little speculative at times). I just wish I was able to read it better.

Twitter is awful.

34. Russia could have more tricks up their sleeve
Mon Mar 27, 2017, 11:35 AM

I'm more concerned with what the Republicans have up their sleeves. All indications are they want to lynch Obama to de-legitimize the #TrumpRussia investigation. In other words, they are at the point where their only recourse is to get the evidence thrown out somehow, and from the far right they are already calling the investigation a deep state political coup. This is the thing to worry about, a Dog and Pony Show blaming Obama instead of a real Congressional inquiries.

Russia could have more tricks up their sleeve

Most regular Daily Kos readers have probably followed The Rachel Maddow Show’s excellent work on the Trump-Russian nexus. And Maddow often asks an excellent question in the course of those segments: what if the Russian destabalize-democracy-in-the-US operation didn’t end with the brutal 2016 campaign? What if it’s ongoing?

Let’s engage in some scary speculation. Let’s suppose, hypothetically, that Putin’s cyber thieves develop the ability to directly screw with vote totals in a networked tabulation device in this polarized nation come the 2018 midterms. Let’s suppose Putin is able to deploy that subterfuge in even a small way on a handful of such machines. Only this time, they do it in favor of a democrat. What happens next? ......

Late last month, hackers broke into Manafort's daughter's iPhone and published four years' worth of purported text messages — roughly 300,000 messages — on the dark web, an encrypted network that can be accessed only with a special browser.

...

In a series of texts reviewed by Business Insider that appear to have been sent by Andrea to her sister, Jessica, in March 2015, Andrea said their father had "no moral or legal compass."

...

"Don't fool yourself," Andrea wrote to her sister, according to the texts. "That money we have is blood money."

"You know he has killed people in Ukraine? Knowingly," she continued, according to the reviewed texts. "As a tactic to outrage the world and get focus on Ukraine. Remember when there were all those deaths taking place. A while back. About a year ago. Revolts and what not. Do you know whose strategy that was to cause that, to send those people out and get them slaughtered."

"He is cash poor right now," the text said. "And now Ukraine is late in paying him."

...

"He is a sick f---ing tyrant," Andrea appears to have said to Bond about her father. "And we keep showing up and dancing for him. ... We just keep showing up and eating the lobster. Nothing changes."

Wikileaks Denies Roger Stone Had 'Back-Channel' Contact With Assange
March 27, 2017, 5:02 PM EDT

Wikileaks on Monday denied longtime Donald Trump ally Roger Stone's claim that he had "back-channel communication" with the organization's founder, Julian Assange, before the 2016 election. "No communications, no channel," a Wikileaks representative told CNN's KFILE by email.

In August 2016, Stone claimed to be in touch with Assange in advance of a so-called "October surprise" comprised of documents the Wikileaks founder promised to release in order to derail Hillary Clinton's campaign. "I actually have communicated with Assange," Stone said.

Stone denied in October 2016 that he had direct contact with Assange, but claimed to have "a back-channel communication" with him. "We have a good mutual friend," he told local Miami TV station WFOR. Throughout the 2016 campaign, Wikileaks denied on Twitter that it had any contact with Stone. ..............

4. We avoided the gossip & speculation and focused on VERIFIABLE FACTS. We consulted experts. We bought a cork board
5. We ended up with a video that explains it as clearly as possible. Full disclosure: It's still 10 mins long!
6. But anyone can spend 10 minutes and can have a good grounding in the basics of the Trump/Russia story
7. Our democracy could be hanging in the balance so its probably worth 10 mins.
