The republican party can no longer govern and protect our way of life because

they have core ideological beliefs that guarantees failure. How can you lead the federal government when your core belief is to dismantle the federal government? You cannot govern a nation as large and complex as america without a strong federal government. When they gut federal agencies this guarantees, sooner or later, millions of americans will pay a heavy price.

They believe tax cuts for the rich and corporations are the answer for all are problems. History has proven this wrong. It throws our economy completely out of balance.

Deregulation. They believe in self regulation. When they deregulate it opens the door to corruption. It is guaranteed bad things will happen. The american people will get hurt.

Look at the so called healthcare bill they just tried to pass. That bill attacked millions of americans. How could the republican leadership even think about trying to pass a bill that would hurt millions of people? They tried to pass it because it had their core idealogical beliefs in it. Thats all that mattered. The people did not matter. It had giants tax cuts for the rich. It dismantled the federal government on medicaid. It took care of the corporations.

The republican party has become incompetent. It can no longer lead this nation.

They are brilliant at selling their philosophy to those who can least afford to buy into it.

None of it makes a lick of sense to me, they literally are completely wrong on everything with one exception.

It has been one of the more sobering experiences of my adult life to know that there are so many truly decent people who so easily are spell bound by the "conservative" mind meld that appeals to their lesser selves.

They are almost spellbound by the BS spewed on the right. It was especially disturbing to listen to so many of them acknowledge that they knew Dump 45 was lying to them but supported him anyway. They cherry picked the lies they wanted to believe. Who does that?? It's crazy.

This was growing more and more apparent since the 1990's.

I have always wondered what would bring someone to vote for a candidate whose primary goal was to dismantle the government they would be elected to operate.
