Nunes went to WH to get his information...

This is starting to smell like 3 day sushi...

http://www.cnn.com/2017/03/27/politics/devin-nunes-white-house-donald-trump/index.html

Washington (CNN)It has been something of a mystery, the whereabouts of House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Devin Nunes on the day before his announcement that he saw information suggesting that communications of then-President-elect Donald Trump and his advisers may have been swept up in surveillance of other foreign nationals.
One source told CNN that Nunes, a California Republican, was seen on the White House grounds the day before his announcement. In a phone interview, Nunes confirmed to CNN that he was on the White House grounds that day -- but he said he was not in the White House itself. (Other buildings, including the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, are on the same grounds.)
No one in the White House was aware that he was there, Nunes said.

The California Republican said he was there for additional meetings "to confirm what I already knew" but said he wouldn't comment further so as to not "compromise sources and methods." He went to the building because he needed a secure area to view the information, he told CNN.
Nunes also pushed back strongly against an account in The Daily Beast that suggested efforts of subterfuge in his path to his sources that day.
"I was in a cab with staff and we dropped them off before I went to my meeting," he said. "Anything other than that is just false."
Nunes also told CNN he had been working on nailing down the surveillance information before Trump's unsubstantiated claim earlier this month that he was wiretapped by President Barack Obama.

First of all.

We should not assume that anything he has said is true.

Maybe he went to the White House to get marching orders? Maybe he went to the White House to tip off someone that left his job this week? Maybe he is keeping WH informed of everything going on?

sucks up to the prez. That's not going away, Devon. You don't play "loose cannon" and depict yourself as Perry Mason without paying the price.

Nunes is in over his head. He's been cavorting with Russian oligarchs and making deals for himself. He's been in on the Turkey scandal with Flynn and he was on Trumpy's transition team when the Russian Ambassador was a virtual member. The corruption of the Trumpy Administration is waist deep and getting deeper. Trumpy and Bannon are doing a great job of insulating themselves from prosecution-- except that they aren't engaged--yet-- with Putin tactics: murdering the opposition. But that can't be off their radar. Anyone spearheading the movement to send Trumpy and his cohorts to prison had better be looking over their shoulders. Trumpy loves him some vengeance.

Nunes has that deer-in-the-headlights look naturally, but it has intensified since this happened.

I'm curious as to who called him at such a late hour with something that clearly alarmed him.

Just because you have to pin this slippery little weasel to the wall and ask him where he went about 17 different ways in a semantic game of "Button, button, who's got the button" it doesn't mean he's engaging in subterfuge.

that old Boris was the guy being surveilled, and Trumps name or voice was in it. Reason for the rush to the WH and subsequent ridiculous story that he gave. Nunes has to go.

A government official said Nunes was seen Tuesday night at the National Security Council offices of the Eisenhower building which, other than the White House Situation Room, is the main area on the complex to view classified information in a secure room. The official said Nunes arrived and left alone.
