if the Dems help Trump "get something done" it will only piss off his base anyway.

The trick is to only "help" him as Democrats. If there is a real Infrastructure package and not one that involves selling off the Interstate system to foreigners and Wall Street, I could see working with him.

Should/could Democrats proposition Trump with a tradeoff the next time he can't secure votes from his own party; in exchange for rescinding Gorsuch's SCOTUS nomination and picking Merric Garland instead?

And first thing he gives away is that crap court pick of his and replaces it with Obama's. He won't do it and then Dems can tell him to F off.

On rare occasions that could happen - and that would serve the interests of the people whom Democrats are elected to represent. I'm not worried about it happening too often. There will be multiple stark examples of where his agenda and ours collide. And they will bring him down

Essentially equates to aiding & abetting....

Might as well
give the bank robber a ride to the airport

Help the lazy arsonist carry his gas cans

Babysit for an overwhelmed kidnapper

Supply the inept identity thief with a list of your employees social security numbers

No thanks....

if Trump wants to climb aboard to support such measures, fine, but don't even let him pretend to lead the parade

Single payer, environmental protections, a fair immigration program, a budget that doesn't hurt the middle class and poor, etc. - so hell no!
