Obama approval in March of 1st term: 60%. Trump approval in March of 1st term: 40%. #HelpMeJared

Following a week that many called the worst of his presidency, the president's job approval rating is once again on the decline.

According to the latest Gallup poll, President Donald Trump's approval rating has fallen down to 40 percent. That is a three-point improvement from last week's record low of 37 percent, but Trump's approval number had been on the rise over this past week before diving again over the weekend.

Trump's numbers are still historically low. In late March of former President Barack Obama's first term, his approval rating hovered around 60 percent. Obama's approval rating dropped to 40 percent -- the lowest number he ever saw -- after two years in office.

My guess is that the red hats were prematurely partying over the demise of Obamacare.
