One thing really bothers me about the Trumpcare failure...

among others.

The discussion seems to have gravitated to the political ineptitude of Repubs not getting the votes out.

Not many are mentioning what a mean-spirited, nasty, tax-cut for the rich fuck the poor piece of shit legislation it was. The public has woke up a bit and across our great country and they started to realize what was actually being proposed and how it affected their lives personally.

The consensus seems to be that the Repubs could have done this if they just worked harder and sold it better. In fact, it was shit legislation that intended to screw millions of people simply to further line the silken pockets of the top 2%. The idea that they could get away with that just on the politics of getting the votes in the House is scary as shit.

We deperately need to keep this kind of shit in the news and in the public eye and pin it fully on the Repub party, not just on Trump. All Repubs are complicit for that and should be held to account at the next election.

Why wouldnt they, given their reason for doing this is revenge anyway?

They will, at which time we either hit the streets by the millions or many of us die.

I repeatedly predicted, on purpose, they would pass this no matter what. I did that in hopes people would be scared and do something, they did (not because of me, clearly) but without the people showing up at reps meetings, this passes.

The reward the rich while we destroy everybody else tax plan is on it's way, time to do it again.

This ain't over yet. The only real "solution" is to take the House in '18. Meanwhile, we can only fight the destruction at the grassroots level. I hope the current enthusiasm holds.

The most disturbing thing is Trump knew it was a peace of shit bill that would hurt tens of millions and he didn't care.

It was longer than 140 characters, so I know he didn't read it. He would have rubber stamped anything the Repubs sent to him, no matter how odious it was. The greatest evil is often done by those who just don't give a shit.
