Tillerson Wastes No Time: State Department Rewrites Climate Change Page
EcoWatch - ‎5 hours ago‎
The Environmental Data and Governance Initiative (EDGI), which has been monitoring changes to federal websites ever since Donald Trump took office, noted significant new changes to the State Department's climate change website.

Anyone got a list of their gas station brand names etc

I'm sure we can put a dent in their cash flow.

with government-owned oil companies, and Walmart. But what about petroleum products? They're in everything.

I've avoided Exxon since the Prince William Sound oil spill. Then there's their sweetheart settlement here in my home state with our slob of a governor. It's not going to make any difference to them but it makes me feel better.

If you stop buying gasoline from ExxonMobil, demand will grow at other gas stations. There are only so many refineries in United States, and gasoline is branded in general at the truck loading rack. You will certainly hurt individual station owners, but you will not hurt the corporation as a whole.

have fun with trying to do that.

I'm not even going into the thousands of other things they synthesize from oil that effect every single aspect of our lives.

There are lots of Shell stations in my area, but i don't think the nearest Shell refinery is any closer than Louisiana. (We're near Chicago.) There's a BP refinery and a Citgo refinery nearby, but also a big Exxon facility. The trucks all go to the terminals and get the gas to bring to stations. We have no way of knowing who actually made that gas.
