(82,849 posts)Speaker Ryan, while more than ready to accept marching orders from the White House, isn't likely to be eager to do the bidding of the Senate Minority Leader. But at the very least, get the word out there and compel House Republicans to defend Nunes' bumbling.

Nunes just seems like a deer in the headlights and way to elevated. He's no chairman.

(9,524 posts)Ryan also complicit? Good that Schumer is calling out Ryan on the floor, but would Ryan replace Nunes with anyone better?

(23,314 posts)won't remove Nunes but when Nunes is shown to be dirty, Ryan will look like a stooge for not removing him when he could. Let's not forget that Nunes took his intel report to Ryan before he went to the WH.

But they said he was hysterical.Fellow Congressmen tried to calm him down.
Nunes is showing all the symptoms of a rat caught in a corner. He appeared with Wolf who tried to pin him down. Nunes was clearly agitated, trying to control himself.

(23,314 posts)I hadn't heard/read that. Interesting. He does not come across as very stable or reliable.

(14,150 posts)Nunes is the White House at all odd hours late in the cover of darkness of night fence hopper.... His reason to be on the grounds and his covert, top secret, undercover mission......... to weed and mulch the old Obama organic vegetable garden plot left there by the former first lady.
He is a good boy...... Nunes would never become involved in obstruction of justice.

(5,954 posts)B) He's using reverse psychology. Knowing that, if Schumer GOADS them into removing dipshit Nunes, they'll NEVER remove him. Purely out of spite.
But keeping Nunes there is a good thing. The longer Nunes is there, the stupider the GOP looks, and the less credible the House 'Intelligence' Committee's investigation looks. The less credible they look, the more the need for an independent prosecutor/special investigator.

(1,129 posts)Continue their investigation....with out unnecessary attention....
It may even lead some little fish to think everything is A-OK and let down their guard... open their mouths ... make a mistake...etc....
The senate obviously has access to different data sets than the house...
so let Nu-Nu play the role of the shiny object ...,
meanwhile....
back in the Senate & over at the FBI... investigations will continue to move forward...

(985 posts)I'm sure it's not the case, but it would be warranted and would have me dancing in the streets if it was true. The oval office should be a crime scene investigation.
