Guys, the Republicans had SEVEN FULL YEARS to come up with something of their own. On the day of the first attempt at repeal, it was discovered they had NOTHING, ZILCH, BUPKUS. It was just a tax cut for the richest, to be passed as a budget bill.
People back home had noticed they'd done nothing and were angry enough to raise hell over it. The Freedom Caucus only wanted a clean repeal with nothing attached to it and they rebelled along with the Republicans who were more afraid of folks back home than lobbyists in DC.
What smart Democrats need to campaign on in 2018 is that for seven years, the GOP sat on their asses and did nothing about health insurance but crab and call it "Obamacare" and nothing is what they should expect if they keep voting for them.
Even Trump Chumps will get that one.
