Boris Epshteyn abruptly resigned his position at White House this weekend.

Why?

Was he connected to the information that Devin Nunes reportedly uncovered?

The Russian-born surrogate was reportedly a good friend of Eric Trump and was a frequent spokesman for Donald Trump during the last campaign.

<snip>
Boris Epshteyn, an official in the White House press office who had a contentious relationship with television producers and was once a frequent presence on TV himself, is leaving his job, according to three people with knowledge of the move.

The departure was treated with some mystery. Sean Spicer, the White House press secretary, would not comment on the reason Mr. Epshteyn, an old friend of President Trump’s son Eric, was expected to depart the post.

A senior administration official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said only that officials were exploring other opportunities in the administration for Mr. Epshteyn, who at one point was on cable news as many as seven times a day promoting Mr. Trump during the presidential campaign.

Another person briefed on the discussions said that Mr. Epshteyn’s move was still pending, and that both he and the administration sought it. The person maintained that it was not an acrimonious situation.

In some ways I think this could be a positive. Nationalism/patriotism is one of the leading causes of death and dismembership. Others do include zealotry/religious beliefs and stupidity.

Eventually, even the "whole world" will need a system of enforceable rules to counter these megalomaniacs who want to own everything within site. I have a cat like that and I've known a few people like that. Thank gawd I don't need to cross the "entourage" and their 'uglican enablers in my life.

Should he be caught in the dragnet of Russian collusion and subterfuge, will his sentence be lighter or avoided because he resigned?

Would the impact on the Trump presidency be diminished because he resigned his post?

Does Trump think he gains any legitimacy because, one by one, his criminal co-conspirators are evacuating the White House?

Is it impossible for Epshteyn to do his job while simultaneously lawyering up for an upcoming criminal RICO indictment?

Apparently he was unmasked by Nunes or the WHITE HOUSE and fired. Nunes was in the room with him on occasions and could have known the content of surveillance transcripts, enabling identification of Boris as one of the FISA warrant targets.

If so, you are forgetting your ignore list or an autotrash keyword you have in play. Look at the thread while not logged in and you can see the "missing" post.

11. Ephsteyn - Nunes timetable

0) Background: Nunes attended meeting at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington DC with Flynn and Turkey officials where kidnapping the religious figure Erdogan wants to bury in jail.

1) Nunes went to see some intelligence on his own at a secure room on the WH grounds without notifying his committee.

2) Nunes gets a message on his pocket computer while in the car. Jumps out, takes Uber. Staff are out of contact till the next day.

3) The next day, Nunes runs over to Paul Ryan (!) and consults (probably revealing the intelligence).

4) He then runs over to the WH and informs the organization targeted by the investigation: Donald Trump's administration. Дональд Трамп (Donald Trump) is included in the briefing.

5) To this day, Nunes has not briefed his Intelligence Committee.

6) Nunes talks to the press after being called out on it by Democrats. Says he made a "judgement call".

7) Nunes later says he "regrets" his actions, but still won't share with the relevant members.

8) Nunes cancels previously scheduled public hearings for which written testimony has already been submitted.

9) Nunes reschedules them as secret hearings.

10) WH fires Epshteyn / resigns on Saturday. Unusual timing and unusual rush and unusual protocol.

Conclusion:

A) Nunes is involved up to his neck in the coverup and the water is rising, i.e. his predicament keeps getting worse.

B) Ryan is involved, at least in the coverup and maybe the original crimes.

C) The WH is running very scared. They know what they did.
