Elle magazine skewers Ivanka's conspicuous consumption

of NEA- and NEH-funded cultural gems while her daddy is planning to obliterate them with the stroke of a pen. Once again, mags like Elle, Teen Vogue, and Cosmo are stepping up and doing real journalism.
https://www.google.com/amp/www.elle.com/culture/news/amp43893/ivanka-trump-enjoyed-a-lot-of-things-made-possible-by-the-nea/

"The announcement of Trump's "America First" budget plan has people reeling, with everything from the Global Climate Change Initiative to the Appalachian Regional Commission to goddamn Meals on Wheels under threat of elimination. One of the biggest outrages has been over the proposed cutting of the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities, which Republicans have been steadily attacking for years, and Trump said he would eliminate back in 1999.

After scrolling through Ivanka Trump's Instagram feed for what felt like days, we discovered that the first daughter really likes engaging with art and culture. But she'll probably have to say goodbye to these favorite experiences if her father's plan becomes reality.

Did you know that Ivanka Trump was in a production of "The Nutcracker" at Lincoln Center? Every year the New York City Ballet puts on this classic Christmas show, and this year they also got a $100,000 grant from the NEA to "support the presentation of ballets during the Festival of Contemporary Choreographers." Okay, so contemporary dance may not have anything to do with Tchaikovsky, but American Ballet Theater also got a $90,000 grant to support their 2017 domestic tour—which includes a performance of "The Nutcracker." Never would have thought these channels of pure endless consumption would have taken a political stance on behalf of the arts.

Bravo!

Doubt she's ever stood up to her awful dad since she turned into an adult. She knows what side her toast is buttered on and won't do anything to rock the gravy train. She has no inner values that matter since she won't stand up for any of them except pure greed, because daddy likes that.

Showing pics of everything she does is nearly impossible for any of those people will ever be ablt to parcipate in or give a shit about. If she really gives a shit about expanding art into America she needs to work for the NEA and a WPA program for the population.

She doesn't give a shit.

The big organizations, like the ABT, PBS, etc will continue without NEA funding. It's the small organizations that may have to close their doors.
