McConnell Can’t Answer How GOP Will Insure Americans After Repealing ObamaCare: ‘That Is Not The Issue’

(snip)
Fox News’s Chris Wallace asked Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) this important question on Fox News Sunday today and the senior senator from Kentucky had no answer. After McConnell meandered through the typical GOP talking points that they plan to allow the sale of health insurance across state lines and that they will institute medical malpractice reform, he finally settled on an answer: Insuring Americans “is not the issue”:

WALLACE: One of the keys to ObamaCare is that it will extend insurance access to 30 million people who are now uninsured. In your replacement, how would you provide universal coverage?

(snip)

WALLACE: I just want to ask, what specifically are you going to do to provide universal coverage to the 30 million people who are uninsured?

MCCONNELL: That is not the issue. The question is, how can you go step by step to improve the American health care system. … We’re not going to turn the American health care system into a Western European system.

Your bunch have kept the lid on wages and busted unions for decades and now no one can afford basic health care any more without help from insurance.

You have a choice: either tax the hell out of the rich and bring wages up to a living level or do stopgap measures like supporting premiums for health care and doling out EIB cards so people can afford to feed themselves and their kids.

Face it, asshole, your party has gutted the middle class, beggared all working people, looted the infrastructure by starving government and generally ruined this country in the name of fattening the sainted rich. Own it, asshole.

It's time to retire in shame.

because there is no answer.

All of this "Repeal and Replace" crap is nothing but poker-playing nonsensical bluster trying to get someone else to fold before someone yells "call".

Am waiting for the so-called "reporter" or "journalist" to really, truly, hold his feet-to-the-fire and yell "CALL" and make him show the hand he has that is worth nothing.

Started seeing journos calling for this yesterday and I am glad he jumped on it as these shitbags won't talk to anyone who doesn't have Faux Newz on their business cards.

Back them into the corner and demand to know what the (R) plan is to replace insuring millions and eliminating preexisting condition out clauses and don't let them off the hook with that "tort reform fixes everything" non-answer.
