Yeah I know we aren't supposed to post RW stuff but I saw the thread about Freeperville going nuts and thought I'd throw this out.
Yes I listen in to Rush, mainly because he amuses me and to find out what nonsense is coming next.
First - Evelyn Farkas. Her name is all over the RW media. Supposedly, to their hearing, she admitted that Obama was surveilling Trump to Mika on Morning Joe. Unfortunately Ms. Farkas resigned her position in 2015 AND she only said that she advised former colleagues to save any info they had on Trump because he clearly would have it destroyed.
Okay. The near melt downs. They both really have to do with the Freedom Caucus and Trump's Tweet. Rush basically said that the entire anti-Obamacare show was a farce. It was all just stringing you (his listeners) along for 7 years. He even read an editorial from the Washington Examiner saying the same. He gave up and tried to switch gears but that didn't go well either.
Later he try to explain what Trump really meant by his tweet. Trump is not an ideologue. He repeated this many times. Trump only cares about winning. He then went back and forth on whether the failure of repeal and replace was the fault of the Freedom Caucus ....or not...no it was the Dems....no it was the Freedom Caucus.
Commercial break. I don't know what kind of feedback he got but he came back on air --- But but but let me clarify. Trump supports Ryan AND the Freedom Caucus HE DOES! Trump is just giving the Freedom Caucus one more chance. He likes Ryan!!! Then he tried some strange story about his golfing buddies who are proudly Republican but don't like being called conservatives or hearing conservative talking points. He got himself really turned around in this story and bailed on it to attack the media. THE MEDIA's doing all this. Trump like Ryan and the Freedom Caucus!!!

(70,748 posts)Next to Billy BUCKLEY, LIMBOsevic is who brought Wingnut-ism back from the brink of extinction and laid down the Scorched Earth marching orders. He took credit for the GINGRICH revolution, and then came the TeaBaggers. He has been willing to hitch up with DRUMPF, knowing all along that DRUMPF is all over the map ideologically speaking, for his own personal goals.
I scarcely monitor LIMBOsevic at all now, beyond a few minutes on errands with the car radio. But for his first 10 or 15 yrs on nationwide syndication I did it closely every day (we were allowed a radio at work). He and O'LOOFAH are the only wingnuts I can listen to because following the devious twists and turns of their slant is challenging, as opposed to the run of the mill wingnuts who only parrot talking points.

(82,849 posts)Ah, the poor diaphanous lilies of the field! Now Rush is saying that it's just mean to call proud Republicans conservatives, and they hate being reminded of the idiotic talking points that conservatives love so much. It's the media's fault!
Wotta dumbass.

(21,910 posts)No doubt he'll be there on a panel or two. He listens to Rush EVERY day. Let's see if he gets his talking points there.

(182,921 posts)I know why but it's very telling that this Trump spokesman who was never on the air suddenly has to be on every show.

(21,910 posts)"You mean Jeffrey Lord and Kayleigh McEnany?" Stelter asked.
"Absolutely, and you look at that giant panel, and its smart person, smart person, smart person, stupid person, smart person, smart person, smart person, bullshit factory," he said. He also noted that he was not talking about Trump supporters, just pro-Trump CNN pundits.
"Im calling the people that CNN puts on television terrible representatives of the views of conservatives," he said. "Theyre terrible representatives of the kind of politics we should have. I mean these are not intellectually honest people. These are people building a brand, people willing to say anything."
