slept under the stars... kayaked a river... hiked in the hills... swam under a waterfall... watched the sunrise over a lake... sunset from the top of a mountain... watched wildlife with his children... sat in a field, closed his eyes and listened...
How many things has he missed that makes humans human or even Americans American?
Has anything ever put him awe other then money?
Sad...

(115,705 posts)on groomed, weeded, herbicided golf courses on which he can ride his fat ass around on a golf cart. Otherwise he prefers to be indoors in a place that looks like a cheap gilt-sprayed simulacrum of Louis XIV's whorehouse. He has missed out on all kinds of wonderful things but I don't feel a bit sorry for him because he has always considered money and prestige to be all that matters. Yes, that's SAD.

(2,328 posts)Because the White House is considered a National Park
https://www.nps.gov/whho/index.htm
Every president except George Washington has called the White House and its surrounding grounds his place of work, rest, and solitude. Recognizable around the world, the White House stands as a symbol of democracy. The White House and its park grounds serve not only as the seat of the executive branch of government of the United States of America, but also as an iconic place for civil discourse.

(464 posts)While there are various levels of lodging, I doubt that many are at the level that Trump would think he deserves. (This if from the guy who's grandfather's hotels were tents with"sporting ladies" Most lodging rooms are not air-conditioned, most are rustic,
most don't have tvs or phones or wifi. Granted, some do, and there are often plush facilities outside the parks. I'm more afraid that Trump will try to open up the parks to commercial development (picture a hotel spanning the Grand Canyon).

More than just a slam at our psychopathic narcissist in chief, your post is poetic. Trump and soulless people like him would have no idea what that even means.

(772 posts)neither in nature or human beings. Look at what he finds beautiful in women. He can't handle real beauty and grace.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Big Bend in all its glory. The idea of a wall in all of that grandure is repugnant to any reasonable citizen. But, we're not talking reasonable, are we. Even if we drug him out there, he'd still never appreciate it.

(1,685 posts)The lack of city lights makes for so many stars that I could barely make out the constellations. So much noise in seeing the other stars that couldn't be seen before. But eventually started seeing the constellations of my youth.
There's no chance our King Don has experienced this. And he eats his steaks well well done, which is disgusting. Dementia is advancing rapidly. The man has no soul.

I wonder if anyof his kids have done it with him and their moms when theh were younger. I bet his kids have been deprived.
I bet there are no Eagle Scouts in that family
