Anyone knows. what happened with the Russian sanctions?

Putin just shrugged, did not retaliate and it did not take long for us to find out that Flynn and the rest of them winked and implied not to worry.

Are these sanctions still in place? Enforced?

Here is an article about the most recent sanctions..

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-administration-relaxes-u-s-sanctions-on-russia-imposed-under-obama/

However, the most important sanctions preventing the various oil drilling activities from taking place (2014) are still in effect but are set to expire either late this year or early 2018 if not formally renewed or extended.

McCain & about 15 co-signers have submitted a senate bill which would codify the sanctions for a period of 10 years...

Timing is critical though.... as Trump will veto the bill and there will need to be enough votes to override his veto .....

So, more shoes need to drop before there will be enough support for it.
