20 Years After Saying She Was Sexually Abused, A Child Gymnast Is Finally Believed: Huff Post.

Twenty years ago, Larissa Boyce says, she confessed to a gymnastics coach at Michigan State University that the school’s lauded sports medicine doctor, Larry Nassar, had touched her inappropriately.

Boyce, who was 16 at the time, was seeing Nassar for lower back pain. But during many of her appointments, he inserted his fingers into her vagina, she says. She was only a teen, but her gut told her the treatment didn’t make sense. So she told Kathie Klages, one of her instructors, about what was happening.

But Klages downplayed her concerns, Boyce said in a recent phone interview with The Huffington Post. She told Boyce she must have misunderstood the procedure. Boyce, paralyzed with shame, concluded it must all be in her head.

For two decades, that’s what she continued to believe. Then, in September 2016, news broke that two former gymnasts, including an Olympic medalist, were saying they’d been sexually abused by Nassar.

In the months since, more than 100 women have come forward with horrifying allegations of being molested by Nassar under the guise of medical treatment. The abuse is alleged to have occurred over the course of two decades, with some of the earliest reports dated in 1997, and the most recent in 2016.

This ugly story is similar to the Penn State story. .Evidently, this doctor. Larry Nassar had the same kind of respect that Jerry Sandusky did, and he got away with it as Sundusky did It will cost MSU hundreds of millions . One hundred is an incredible number. And MSU ignored this for 20 years, even though many complained about this man. Read the entire article, but be warned, it is extremely ugly. Total neglect by MSU..for 20 years..because the doctor was well known and highly respected. So many innocent women hurt by the doctor and MSU that did nothing..even after repeated complaints..

Here is another link on this subject, posted Feb 24, by Texas Towelie.. The title of that article is.....Dr. Larry Nassar arraigned on new sex assault charges

Really. Adults who are positions of trust and who deal with minors on a daily basis are the very worst of the sexual abusers, I think. I believe strongly that penalties should be increased dramatically in such situations. It is simply unconscionable for any such person to use his or her position to take advantage of youngsters in that way.

So I had an early warning about these claims as they were developing. IIRC, my friends were stunned and questioning (hoping the reports were false) when they first came out.

That "coach" needs to be dragged through the mud too. She helped him commit hundreds of crimes. Too bad she can't be charged too.
