to hear a short summary if you are so inclined. Good for you, it is always so wonderful to hear and see people speaking in person.

He referenced Howard Zinn's "History of the United States". He praised Ralph Nader and stated that Nader became a target of the corporations after the Powell "Memo". He talked about what he witnessed in several theaters of war around the world as a correspondent and journalist. He warned strongly of this country on the precipice of fascism and gave credit to both major political parties, although he did recognize it was Trump who exploited the situation.

I shook his hand and he was friendly and gracious.

Zinn's book should be required reading. In fact I was stunned to find out that my oldest son's girlfriend's High School, in Kansas of all places, used it as text. I agree about Nader. He did so many good things for this country. I should check out his book, get a copy. I like his writing and I agree with him much of the time but even if I do not he speaks of things that are important and it always makes you think.

I really appreciate you taking the time to write this down. Thank you.
