And boom...another city resolves to request House to investigate Trump for Impeachment.
A Massachusetts city is joining a handful of other municipalities across the country in calling for an impeachment investigation of President Donald Trump based on alleged conflicts of interest.
Apparently the resolution is symbolic. But it joins the cities of Richmond, Virginia; Berkeley, California,; and Alameda, California to record for history that city councils thought that Trump should be investigated for impeachment purposes. Along with his record low approval rating of 35%, this marks for posterity the record of the Trump first 100 days.
But as ABC News previously reported, in a resignation letter dated Jan. 19 -- the day before his inauguration -- Trump wrote, "I, Donald Trump, hereby resign from each and every office and position I hold in the entities listed." More than 400 entities were listed in the 19-page document.
Besides the above assurance in writing, his lawyers also said that all potential conflicts of interest had been ironed out.
They're seeking investigation due to violations of the Foreign Emoluments Clause and the Domestic Emoluments Clause of the U.S. Constitution.
I don't understand how he can get away with this sham of divesting himself, whilst he makes tons of money in profiteering from being President.
