It might be better for the investigation to drag out and not be resolved quickly

If we are still talking about this right before the midterms and indictments start getting handed down then! Now there you have a perfect storm for Dems to take back control of Congress and maybe more.

1. The Democrats need to focus on other things to win back Congress.

The voters don't really care about Russia. There isn't, so far, a lot of evidence to this conspiracy, if that's what it is. Some bad actors, looking for a big payday, that's about it. Trump is simply not intelligent enough to manage such a conspiracy. He's a useful idiot. If we are out of the way, Putin can do what he likes.

Democrats need all of the motivating factors they can get to get their butts off of the couch to vote. I believe most people being honest with themselves know that Trump worked with the Russian leaks and knew what was coming. Roger Stone and Rudy Guilliani could not contain their excitement over what was being leaked next.

Trump is a con man who understood the cheating he was involved with, don't make excuses that he was too stupid to know. Trump was in hock up to the waddle on his chin in debt and Putin hooked him up in exchange for what we have now. I believe Trump did not expect to win and his ego warmed him up to the task. He has Bannin to tell him what they are going to do as Trump doesn't care about anything except how he can profit.

This is the story of a generation or more. Our Presidency has been hi-jacked by a foreign government and a Manchurianski candidate!

to the point that even without indictments, we'll see that. Having one party rule all 3 branches of government isn't the usual for this country, people generally prefer gridlock to reduce mischief.

Unfortunately, the relative weakness of our own party for a myriad of reasons has allowed it to happen.

At some point, the republicans could no longer pretend that the president wasn't bound for prison. I think it was when he fired Archibald Cox that it was all over but the rat thumping. At a slow pace, even the diehard idiots had to suck it up and abandon Tricky Dick before they were totally humiliated. In fact, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone over 60 who'd admit to voting for him either time.

stunt to divert the media attention. My respect for the news media is about one step above what Trump says about them. The damn media is why we are stuck with that asshole. If he gets a war going someplace Russiagate will be forgotten. The MSM has a one track
mind.
