They are trying to split 45 from the rest of the KGOPB. Fuck that.
Moscow Mitch and Russian Ryan have this all OVER their careers, and we need to make sure it stays there.
Do NOT "reach out" to them. YOU don't move. They have to come to YOU, not the other way around. The guy holding the sign saying, "I've made a huge mistake" can come to the table...the one who thinks we need to make this about fucking bathrooms cannot, until they come around.
Back in the good ole days, when this LayDee was just a girl, my great grandmother tethered a dead chicken around the neck of one of her favorite dogs. When I asked why, she told me to stay away from him while that chicken was tethered. She said it was a nasty business, but a necessary one. You see, the dog had killed that chicken, and he would keep killing them unless something was done to stop it. So, the old farm trick is to tether the victim chicken to the dog's neck until it rots. The dog never kills anymore chickens after that.
We *mustn't* let the GOP divorce itself from what they've done lest they will just do it again.
They *own* this shit.
Tether that chicken motherfuckers.

Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner came immediately to my mind...
Tie Trump around the neck of the GOP and let his rot deter them from ever doing anything like this again.

(9,426 posts)refused to have hearings on President Obama's pick for the Supreme Court. He said "The next president will fill that vacancy" I wondered how he KNEW that would be a republican president? Now it all falls into place, he KNEW the fix was in. If he knew, so did Ryan and others. Traitors all of them.

Trump has already filed paperwork for a 2020 reelection run. So fuck you mitch. If that's your standard, we're gonna respect the SHIT out of that, and abide by it (you treasonous cocksucker).

(3,056 posts)The day after the last thrown election, she hit with that story. She said (with her usual breeziness) to, "Cheer up, dearies!" She thought then we had wired a chicken around our own necks, Bush's second term would be as big a disaster as his first, and we would learn to never again elect a rich, white man to the presidency. I'm tempted to say we have a short memory, but the reality is we really didn't have so much as a short memory, as much as we were too trusting & just couldn't believe our elections could be throw by an outside force. We really need to go back to paper ballots. A media with a damn spine would help, too.

(3,056 posts)I miss her so much...I turn my students on to her all the time, although I am selective! The one's I've told love her. She would undoubtedly have a thing or two to say about the current resident of the WH. Hair Fuhrer would undoubtedly have a stroke over not being able to control what she said. And can you just imagine her response the first time he called her "fake"?

(23,148 posts)It worked wonders when my dog killed one of my prize Aracanas (sp?) She hated that chicken being around her neck, she was totally humiliated. After leaving the chicken around her neck for 7 hours the other dogs in the neighborhood started getting interested in it, so I took it off. Rota never ever chased another chicken her entire life. She was terrified of them and wouldn't go into their pen at all. When one got out before we could put some wire on the top, she ran to the door of the house and barked frantically to get in.

(10,291 posts)The dog cried all night. It *stunk* to high heaven...but he never went near another chicken again.

(2,272 posts)... with you 100%. You can see with what's happening now just how far "reaching out" has gone. To hell with them! Just like a schoolyard bully all they can understand OR appreciate is dealing from a position of power. All of them have some responsibility for this travesty that we are being forced to be a part of. NO quarter!

(1,374 posts)Your grandmother and mine were on the same page as well...I had to tether a massacred chicken to a dog as well!!! It works. Nasty business but it works.
And you gave a great analogy of it with these criminals!
