The insane irrationality of John McCain.

Senator McCain took to the Senate floor this morning to express his support for voting against the 60-vote cloture rule and for the nomination of Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court.

He said he would do so even though it would do irreparable damage to the Senate of the United States. In other words, the nomination of one Justice to the Court was paramount to everything else, including damage to the US Senate and the future of our country.

The value he put on the nomination of one man is insane. It makes no sense. Even though he is sure it will do irreparable harm, he will still vote for Gorsuch.

7. McCain is just as much a maverick as McConnell allows him to be.

The same applies to Susan Collins and Lindsey Graham.

So he's siding with the Democrats in this regard. I guess he wants to maintain his mavericky status, while still being the obedient Republican that he always ends up being.

for being such a sore loser and blasting his opponent Obama at every turn. He was darn mean to him after he lost.

Tries to be all moderate and "maverick-y" but push come to shove does 100% of what his party tells him to do.
If I could figure out how to post a song, it would be "Lip Service" by Elvis Costello.
