Spiegel Online and ZEIT Online both reported on this quite prominently. Readers indicate in their comments that they are somewhat relieved about this. Most seem to agree that Trump is not a "heavy thinker" so he just does whatever other people tell him, and are very concerned about Bannon. So the hope is that Bannon is actually losing influence and this is not just yet another distraction.

Hopefully this is a step in the right direction to fix foreign policy. I'm afraid it doesn't really help with what you guys are probably just as concerned with, e.g. losing health care coverage and tax money for important issues in order to cut taxes for the rich... I hope republicans simply fail to get anything through congress because they actually can't agree in which ways to f*** the American people.
