Whenever There Is A School Shooting, I Wonder....

Is the gun safe? Under the 2nd Amendment, the "Gun" has every right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Any attempt to infringe upon that, is unconstitutional, and UN-AMERICAN.

Sad.

There were once whole, dammit!

Oh, the humanity!

The "gun" has become much like the flag, in terms of a symbol that has taken the place of actual freedom. People will argue, snarl, and fight to defend the symbol but if you asked them their politics, a lot of them will be authoritarian instead of democratic in belief.

In justice for all becomes just us for far too many. The symbol becomes the driving force and not the meaning behind the symbol.

There is a huge difference in buying a gun for actual self-protection, to be used wisely, and buying a shit load of guns simply because you think someone is going to take your guns. It's no longer about the right to bear arms. It has become a huge "fuck you", I'll own as many as my house and truck can hold, and demand that rocket launcher in the bargain. It's no longer about freedom or a right. They've become a statement. A very ugly and deadly statement.

Freedom has been won at the end of a barrel, but that gun isn't freedom. Neither is that flag.

But that's just my ponderings.

Although I'm not sure....who won the dispute, since they're both dead?

I feel horrible that an innocent 8 year old, was a victim of this GUN Violence. His family will never be the same again.

As for the Killer.....past incidents of domestic abuse, weapons charges & drug charges. Sounds like a real standup guy. I can see why she chose to marry him.

Good marriage, for the few months it lasted. She chose POORLY, and now an innocent family must suffer for the rest of their lives.
