Pretend their last freakishly incompetent loser is now 'competent', because they put someone into power who's more freakishly incompetent. Rewrite history and rehab the image of their last zero, using their current zero's suckiness as a backdrop.
They used weasels like Ken Tomlinson to turn NPR right wing, under li'l bush, and it never recovered.

He ignores "inconvenient" facts when they might undermine KGOP bullshit, and he often sneaks in his righty slant.
