Do you want a 20 room mansion for less than half a mil? 8832 sq ft.

Mysterious abandoned Howey mansion now up for sale
Boarded-up mansion has no electricity, heat or air-conditioning, but that hasn’t stopped hundreds of the old girl’s fans from streaming to Howey-in-the-Hills when they heard the news: She’s on the market.

The creepy, abandoned 20-room house has been tied up in foreclosure since 2008. A judge finally awarded the eight-bedroom home to mortgage holder Nationstar in 2015. Since then, company has been tying up loose ends and trying to work with a historic society to buy it.

But, no luck. So last week the intriguing house set behind custom iron gates went up for sale for $480,000.

Within five minutes, potential buyers started blowing up the listing agent’s phone, and people who want the place began driving to the tiny Lake County city of 1,260 — some from long distances.

a museum or community center or library or park. Take those Russian mammoth tusks the Chinese impounded and make it a children's museum.

I believe this mansion is out in the boonies? So, not much out there for people to get food and necessities?

It would make a wonderful retreat, like a writer's retreat? But nothing driven by locals. Dear God. That's all we need. More group think.
