(13,524 posts)sources have apparently confirmed Jasoninthehouse is in deep doo...but also, she has been wondering about Pence for months now, right, and as of today? Hmmm...lookin bad for him. And lookin bad for Ryan, all mucked up with the Nunes caper...so she's asking that we get used to "Hatch - President Hatch" - !
Grain of salt/we shall see etc! - but this is the first time she seems convinced to have solid word on Pence collusion - wee haw!

(18,964 posts)that Manafort interceded with Trump to REMOVE CHRISTIE as the VP Choice and replace him with PENCE...
Does that make Pence a "fellow traveler" or maybe complicit with Manafort?
Stay tuned...same bat-time, same bat-channel!
Leghorn21
(13,524 posts)Yes, ewagner, it was Manafort who got Christie sidelined and Pence in the game instead:

(374 posts)I second your remarks. I read that too.
Also, my money is that they have kompromat on Nunes too. And Pence is probably dining alone with a woman that's not his wife. 😱 The right-wing evangelical hypocrisy may be a Russian gift to US.
I am betting the Mercers are really upset with the idea of Bannon leaving the WH. Interesting to see how they work this...given their campaign contributions and string-pulling activities...who also have Russian ties, too...shockingly. 🤔

Some of the players (trump) are too dumb. Many of the others will keep being played as long as the money is flowing.
How much of the money flow is made up of non-valid currencies? I can't imagine it would be that difficult for a state actor or a large corporation to print bills, fake certificates, etc. without being caught. I had heard that Iran (or Iraq?) had very sophisticated minting operations. And the Russian contributions? There's no way they aren't playing directly in the banking systems including SWIFT.
So, only suckers pay taxes. Most of the nodes on your graphs don't have to bother, or if they do it's a fun exercise in cheating. Or if they get caught by some over-zealous bureaucrat, you know who'll lose that battle.

(374 posts)and stop focusing on the misdirected shiny objects.
If Trump is not caught with a smoking gun with respect to collusion with the Russians and our elections, he at least must be brought down by his sketchy business dealings (for instance, money laundering, for starters).
Here is just one link about a Trump project in Baku, featuring his daughter wife Ivanka. It is downright laughable when you just look at the location. I thought the first 3 rules in real estate were 1) location, 2) location, 3) location.

Those are the people I think all directly involved....
Then there are what I call the "Kompromat list" of people separate from that list (although I think a few on there like Chaffetz and others were people sucked in and blackmailed with info on them) but many are on both lists including for sheer profit and money that they sold their country and constitution out.
This list will grow and is bigger than we can even imagine.
As a friend of mine said: if the Russians wanted to wage a war and take over the US and control it, the quickest and cheapest way would be to give a Million dollars to every member of congress and it would be a fraction of feeding, transporting, housing a military battle regiment and battalion and any cost if weaponry. And happen faster.
Best invasion and conquest ever.

(722 posts)She claimed that Bannon was behind calls to protest the rally, and that if protests were held, the protesters would be set upon by Trash's goons and/or infiltrated with violent agents provocateurs. I remember my twitter feed being flooded with grave warnings to stay away from the rally. Of course, it all turned out to be nonsense, as a small peaceful rally was held without incident. Who knows how much larger it could have been were it not for Mensch's disinformation?

In Russia politics, Kompromat (Russian: компромат; IPA: [kəmprɐˈmat] ( listen), short for компрометирующий материал, literally "compromising material" is compromising materials about a politician or other public figure used to create negative publicity, for blackmail, or for ensuring loyalty.
