It appears that Trump was told about the bomb AFTER it was dropped in Afghanistan (per CNN)

From the most recent update:

Sources told CNN that Gen. John Nicholson, commander of US forces in Afghanistan, signed off on the use of the bomb. The White House was informed of the plan before the MC-130 aircraft delivered its 21,600-pound payload.

Trump has given military commanders broader latitude to act independently on several battlefields where US forces are involved, which Trump touted as making a "tremendous difference" in the fight against ISIS.

While Trump's comments Thursday suggested that he was not personally involved in the decision to drop the bomb, Trump was eager to associate himself with the bold display of power.

he can blame the military. On the other hand he'll take the credit for being a military genius on this.

This had to be in the works even before the Syrian missiles. Where did they have this MOAB stored? Seems to me they had to transport this to where they were able to use it.

I believe Trump knew this was coming. What's next?

Trump won't openly admit that he knew about the mother of all bombs being dropped first...just in case Putin is listening!

I suspect the color they chose is so the can visually track it. I'm guessing when their deployment becomes routine, they're revert to military OD.

Dammit, I don't know if we will survive another year of this moron.

The CIC is abdicating his responsibility! That should be another reason for impeachment.
