As backdrop, the world is following the brinksmanship in Syria, Afghanistan, and the Korean peninsula. In the foreground we see the following:
Portly Prexy Lardass shows up in a big blue and white government jet at the West Palm Beach Airport from which he is hefted overland to his private resort. He no doubt has clubs and spikes at the ready for a weekend of hard work.
His semi-estranged third wife and youngest son, by that third wife, fly from their bunkered skyscraper gold leaf prison in midtown Manhattan. Their conveyance is another big blue and white government jet. They fly to the same airport, park their ride next to his ride and are similarly conveyed to the same location.
Meanwhile his chief advisers, Jarvanka, are notably off skiing again.
His two strapping sons, Uday and Qusay are . . . . someplace.
For each of these people there is a sizable contingent of big, burly government employees protecting them. There is a Coast Guard armada covering the two waterside flanks of the PBP (Palm Beach Palace).
And you and I and all of our fellow taxpayers are footing the bill for all of this. I'm guessing this weekend alone, with all these MoneySucks scattered about the Glitzveld, is costing us something north of Five Million Dollars.
