Do you live in a congressional district where

no Democratic candidate appears on the ballot? Please don't let that happen again. If nobody files, file yourself. Need money to file? Run a GoFundMe campaign and tell us about it here. We'll help you raise the money.

Nobody should ever let an election go by in their own district without a Democratic candidate. Ever!

I always put my name in as a write-in against our entrenched and unopposed congressman. The local dems are talking about running someone this year --- hope they get someone better than me! LOL

Even a token Democratic candidate will attract some votes. We really need to start fielding someone in every district, no matter how red that district is. It will help identify voters who have long been frustrated by having no choice at all. Anyone who runs in such a district will not have to worry about winning and can just have a good time with the candidacy, giving press interviews and showing up to speak at club meetings and things like that. Even being just an irritant is a good thing, all around, and can be a lot of fun, besides.

number of votes, that will encourage the local Democratic Party to work harder. Right now, in some districts, there's a sense that there's no point in fielding a candidate. We need to break that model in every district where a Republican can run unopposed.

Anyone who does this, of course, should be willing to do press interviews and show up at at least some venues to speak. While there might be little chance of actually winning, it's an opening of the door at a time when frustration with Republicans is high. It would take some effort, naturally, so it's not an idea for someone who isn't interested in getting the word out.
