OK I'm a Christian and right now I'm asking God to

PLEASE DO SOMETHING! It is Holy Week and I am proud of the fact that I actually gave up something I loved (smoking) and thought that might mean something. Now, I'm just praying that God will keep us from blowing ourselves up.

That's such a difficult thing to do. Good on you.

I don't pray - per se - but I do ask the Universe for the safety and security of all beings. Keeping in mind that the best outcome for all might not be what I'd hoped for myself. I keep hearing about imminent arrests but I'm fearful we don't have much more time before something horrendous happens.

I prayed the following prayer, just in case ... "God please grant our leaders the wisdom to do the right thing." Last time I ever wasted my time doing that.

It was the day I sat in the doctor's office with my late wife when she found out she had lung cancer. That day I stopped smoking for good. She died two years later. In the 8 years since her diagnosis I've never even thought of smoking. That's a hell of a way to quit, and I don't recommend it. But a worse way is when the doctor tells you you've got lung cancer. Quit while it's still voluntary.

That fat bastard Cheeto is trying to start a war there, and has been loading up on Raytheon stock to make sure he profits from it like the son of a bitch he is.

Happy Easter to all. If God is indeed up there, now would be a good time to intervene.

Very tough habit to break.

I'm a lifelong Christian, and nothing could dissuade me from that, but when I see all the stupidity said and done in the name of religion, it leaves me shaking my head.

and yelling is something we're going to have to do a lot of: yelling at our Congressmen, yelling at local government, yelling at any corporation that knuckles under to Asshole, and just plain yelling that we're not going to take this shit any more. You can even yell at god, if he's out there, he'll understand.

As your strength improves and you're not coughing up 10 year old cigarettes any more, you'll be able to get out there with the rest of us and it will be a lot easier to keep up with us and run from the cops if need be.

Quitting smoking is a Really Big Deal. Congratulations!
