Are we just hoping for something to happen with Trump and the Russian connection, or is it real?

I see these threads that tout "something is about to happen", and that arrests will be coming next week. I just don't know if to believe these. Sure, I'd like to believe the Trump camp is running scared, and the fit is about to hit the shan, but is it real??? Or are we all just dreaming? I don't want to fall into the trap of group think...

About two years from now, he will declare that America has been "Made Great Again" and decline to run for re-election.

I think he figured out that if he blows shit up, like he did last week, he gets everyone off his back. Even Democrats were applauding his actions against Syria.

FWIW, most of these "something is about to happen" posts seem to come from the Palmer Report. Sorry, but if Palmer said the sun rises in the east, I'd have to go outside and check for myself.

even though he screamed and yelled every time President Obama set foot outside the White House grounds.

My only consolation is how much those outings are financially hurting and inconveniencing those people who just couldn't wait to vote for him. For the Hillary supporters who have been swept up in Trump's web, I'm sincerely sorry, but I doubt there were many of those in that area of Florida.

And no one knows for sure what or who will turn up. But something like the flynn may be a possibility since he already asked for immunity. He along with manafart seems to be the low hanging fruit. Also a house intel committee member going to Cyprus where some of the manafart money seems to have been laundered. Could be a clue.

If it were real, something would have been done by now.

If it were real, someone would have turned it loose BEFORE the election so we wouldn't get in this situation.

Sorry, but I have a lot of doubts about anything happening. Like he said, he could shoot someone in the street and get by with it.

It sickens me, but the ones with all this concrete proof should have done something if they were going to do anything.

Contrary to what FOX News and Breitbart would have you believe, those things wouldn't happen for no reason, or political ones.

There is probably a mountain of surveillance and evidence, collected.

Maybe there's nothing there. But they've been acting sort of guilty, from the get-go.

Don't take it to the bank, but don't write it off, either.

Yes, I'm cynical, but this is what I see:

Trump, "Back off the Russian collusion stuff and I'll back off the illegal spying."
Democrats, "Ok. Sounds like a deal."
Trump, "Now I'll make everyone happy and blow up some shit in Syria like normal Presidents do."
Democrats, "Cool!"

That are then connected /joined to one another ....

They can utilize the same basic "evidence" for prosecution of offenses that are substantive as well as part of a conspiracy.... and if convicted for both.. the sentences can be consecutive...,,

RICO is amazing ...
as it is designed in such a way as to increase the number of individually chargeable offenses rather than to combine multiple into a single broader offense.

My own take on how the situation will ultimately be resolved is beyond "tin hat" on the crazy conspiracy theory spectrum...
so I won't burden all of the sane DUpeople with seemingly outlandish predictions ...

Although, the pattern seems to be that what was yesterday's 'No Fucking Way' is,
More often than not, tomorrow's 'No Big Deal' ....,

All you have to do is look at who is stonewalling in Congress to see who has been bribed. This runs deep and wide, and will likely result in a constitutional crisis, which is why Maxine Waters looked like someone died when she exited that briefing.

Believe me, I don't want this to be that way, I am old fashioned, outdated, am a dinosaur that still, somewhere, sonehow believes the Earth goes around the sun, and the sun is an average star, just like those many those many bright spots you see in the sky in the middle of the night... I believe there's a massive cover up going on to hide all of trumps illegal actions, deeply in russia and other places...

I don't think the government wants us to know the crimes the mega wealthy/ corporations do and get away with and are never charged....

I think regarding the rich, corporations, and the government this is probably the most corrupt country in the world...

I think this is real. That's not optimism talking. I truly believe we will see Dolt45 thrown from office and the utter uselessness of the GOP on full display.

Think about the trend:
* Sarah Palin
* Mitt Romney
* Trump
* Can't pass legislation even when controlling all 3 branches of government.

The signs are there.

Trump and his cohorts have been under investigation for years. The fact that he ran for president and (surprise) won was a future event that few could have believed would happen. I have a feeling the IC shit its collective pants when a known (to them) felon received the Republican nomination.

I believe there is a mountain of evidence that would ultimately bring down everyone in his White House cabal, and would even include Congressmen, perhaps even a handful of Democrats. Who knows.

So you're Comey. You're sitting on a ticking time bomb that will ultimately paralyze American government and cast dozens of our leaders as criminals and liars. In fact, the entire system, including our elections, would be called into question. The bedrock of our being would be torn asunder.

Therein lies the rub.

So let's say the treason outweighs the short-term effect of constituent distrust. How would you go about picking off the perps? Who goes first? How do you orchestrate the biggest takedown in American history?

A great purge is coming. It will be vociferously challenged, both politically and legally. But it's coming.

I find it difficult to believe that all the Russian connections around him are simply coincidence. What single person would "accidentally" have so many Russian connections surrounding him?

prosecutions will be probable. How that reaches Trump is the hard part and in the mean time he'll be bombing for distractions which is scary about him. If you notice, he is set to blame the military for the decisions on foreign policy if they don't work out well. He is the most insufferable sleazy bastard to ever sit in the presidency of this country.

That is what I really want. But I don't want to get my hopes up.

It upsets me very much that he ever came to power, and that he is able to do the damage he is doing. Fortunately that administration is not very competent, so that may keep a check on them.

One of the reasons why I waver and I question is because we went through eight horrible years of W, and there was always my hope that people would wake up and smell the coffee, yet they re-elected him! I will never forget the re-election campaign, when a voter was interviewed on a golf course I think in Florida. She was white, elderly, and she said "Well, he got us into this mess (Iraq), he should have a chance to clean up his mess." AAAARRRGGHHHHHH!!!!!!
