5. Federal workers will be furloughed

without pay. (In 2013 Congress voted to pay them retroactively although many checks were delayed.)

The shut down will cause companies that are near Federal institutions to lose LOTS of business. It was estimated that our economy lost $1.5 billion per DAY during the shut down.

My business is near two National Parks and for the 15 days of the shut down we had nothing. Ironically our Congressman, Mark Meadows was the architect of the shut down in 2013....and the people here voted for him to return to Washington after all the losses it caused us directly in Western NC. Gotta love those low information voters!
