the under 40yr may go on line.

Bebe is closing all its stores, the latest brick-and-mortar retailer to get dumped by customers who would rather shop with their phones than their feet.

Bebe Stores (BEBE), which models itself as a purveyor of "unique, sophisticated and timelessly sexy" clothing for women, said it plans to close the stores by the end of May, according to a regulatory filing on Friday.

Technology and automation. Frankly, we saw it coming and could have prepared but with republicans opposing Obama.. nothing on this scale could ever be done.

In the form of an experience or customer service.

For example, Best Buy offers help with setting up their products on the spot (if it can be done from the store). Other stores like Ikea have a restaurant in store.

Eta as a pussyhat factory, I have yet to buy yarn online. Crafts are one area that hasn't caught up. AC Moore (local chain craft store where I get most of my yarn)'s website only sells gift cards.
