1. I don't read it...

There are occasional memes that I like, but to me, it's the left's Fox News, Glenn Beck Drudge Report etc.

I'd rather it be labeled satire any time it is shared, I don't view it as a legitimate source.

any official, specific reference to the Democratic candidate was blackballed from the Women's March materials.

Sarsour's desperate, ridiculous attempts to justify the slight the night before the march bore out what the Palmer Report had to say.

5. I wonder what her fellow organizers thought

of her post-march TV tour in which she allowed herself to be billed as the organizer of the Women's March.

It would have been gracious (and honest) to at least acknowledge the other 149 organizers, as well as the Hillary supporter who actually came up with the idea.

Mahalo Cha. I'm coming up to 2000. You'd better start looking over your shoulder. I'm gaining on you.

Palmer takes reports from others and through analysis and conjecture attempts to weave together a plausible argument for his conclusions. He's been ahead of stories many, many times, but also he has missed his mark a lot.

I like the Palmer Report because it's like reading a spy novel. While not reliable as a source, it makes you consider the possibilities, many of which you may never have arrived at yourself. In conjunction with Rachel, and Louise Mensch, and John Schindler, and Malcolm Nance, you can see the realm of possibilities that mainstream media will completely ignore until they step in it inadvertently.

I like the Palmer Report because it's left wing without remorse. As long as you understand that this isn't a citable source for your news and you take it all with a grain of Himalayan salt....it can bring a big smile to your face for a few seconds.

But a lot of it feels like magical thinking, and the sourcing is often either absent, unnamed, or anonymous.

10. Is that what he's contending? That his suppositions are factual?

I never get that sense from his blog. I understand it to be pure conjecture with arguments to support. I have no problem with that. If he's peddling it as irrefutable fact...that's where his journalistic integrity goes down the toilet.

We live in a time where fake news, aka propaganda, is spewed non-stop as veritable news. It's what most right wingers rely upon on a daily basis, leaving them in the dark as to the actual state of current events. I truly feel sorry for them. I don't want to fall into that trap either, but for goodness sake, I can certainly discern the difference between well-sourced and factual reporting and unsubstantiated bloviation. Palmer is somewhere in the middle of all that.

On the left, we have very limited news sources. The Palmer Report is not one of them. The dude writes a blog. Read it with restraint, or don't read it at all.

11. I choose not to read it at all...

Which is my choice and of course you are free to choose differently.

After so much "I don't know, people are saying, I'm not saying, but lots and lots of people are...", it all leaves me hungering for good old fashioned, multi- and independently sourced facts.

But that is just me.

Then again, I went through a decade of getting my news from The Daily Show, so the crossover works for me.

Jon was one of a kind, he basically did his show in real time. So glad that I was there for the peak.

I read it for what it is . Palmer also has info links in his reports. ("As the publisher of an independent news site, I can affirm all of the following: Every one of our articles includes supporting source links for independent verification. I check it out every day for possible stories.&quot
Palmer wrote of the FISA warrants last November - CNN just posted a similar story a few days ago (like 5 months). If you are a curious person, Palmer might be for you.

Many people obviously share his links. -

Thank you to Congressman Ted Lieu for reposting a Palmer Report article on the U.S. House of Representatives website.

Thank you to Newsweek for using Palmer Report as a linked source in one of its recent articles.

Thank you to The Oregonian newspaper for using Palmer Report as a named source in one of its recent articles.

Thank you to former Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm for encouraging her constituents to read a Palmer Report article.

Thank you to MSNBC host Joy-Ann Reid, Harvard Law Professor Laurence Tribe, NBC News legal analyst Lisa Bloom, MSNBC intel analyst Malcolm Nance, Governor Howard Dean, Former Canadian Prime Minister Kim Campbell, Pulitzer Prize winner Joyce Carol Oates, Mississippi State Representative Jeramy Anderson, Patricia Arquette, Rosie O’Donnell, Rob Reiner, Mark Hamill, Wil Wheaton, Mira Sorvino, Mark Ruffalo, Barbara Hershey, and Debra Messing for all sharing Palmer Report articles. - (from the PalmerReport)

Credibility is everything. I worry the fake news epidemic will make it all the more difficult for democracy to work.

I also believe in the First Amendment so educating people on discerning reliability is more important. I'm not black and white, people can decide for themselves. I'm just a no on Palmer.

16. My mother reported a "fact" to me yesterday

When I asked her where it came from, she told me it was from the Palmer Report. I had to explain to her that the Palmer Report is the left equivalent of Faux Nooze. I actually think it's a little dangerous, and I wish DUers would get out of the habit of posting news from Palmer as if it's gospel truth.

Palmer always posts his sources. DU'ers are not posting news from Bill Palmer as gospel truth. Most of us qualify any reporting of his that we post because instead of discussing the ideas Palmer puts out there, many just want to put him down. He has been right on many many stories and I think curious people find him very interesting.
